AUCTIONS


The History Shop conducts periodical seal bid auctions of unique Historical Documents and Books. Information is provide for your review along with a bid sheet, listing items available and closing time of the auction.

Our guidelines are:

1. No money is required with bid, but winning bidder must presenting a cashiers check, credit card or cash, to the History Shop, within two days of bid closing. If winning bidder defaults, the next highest bidder takes possession of first place. In case of equal bids, the date received at The History Shop is used to judge tie breaks.
2. Items are available for review at The History Shop, with pictures available by mail or on our web site.
3. Bids are opened at published end of the auction and winners notified.
4. No winners names are released to news media without prior approval.
5. Our Definition of a sealed bid is :
A. Bidder places the maximum amount they care to bid, on a bid sheet, present it to The History Shop.(Dated upon receipt)
B. At day and hour set for the auction to end, envelopes are opened and the winner announced.
C. Only one bid per person allowed.
D. No bids below the listed minimum bid is accepted.
CONDITIONS OF RETURNS
We have try to accurately describe every item in a conservative manor. If any substantial defect is not disclosed, or is discovered by the purchaser, the item may be return within two days of receipt. Please call us for procedures of return and authorization before returning the item. A merchandise credit can be issued in the case of an unresolved dispute over condition.

SELLER'S RIGHTS
The History Shop reserves the right to withdraw any item, reject any bid or exclude any party from participating in this auction for any reason it deems appropriate. Sole discretion in these matters rests with The History Shop.
